When you are a full-time skirt wearer like myself, you look for ways to keep those legs warm! When Deborah and Co. gave me the opportunity to review her fleece-lined leggings, I jumped all over that like white on rice. I had just bought some leggings at Wal-mart and they were a TERRIBLE fit, and I do mean TERRIBLE! It’s not that I’m an odd shape, but according to that legging manufacturer, I must have been. While I don’t have cankles, I do have what my husband calls “sturdy” legs, lol. I was very active in sports growing up and my calves are living proof. I also have a high waist, so between my calves grabbing the Wal-mart leggings and my waist being so high, the Wal-mart leggings were just a TERRIBLE fit. I can’t stress that enough, obviously, lol.
The day the mail lady finally brought me Deborah and Co.’s fleece-lined leggings was a much awaited day indeed. The actual external material content of the leggings is polyester and spandex. Funtastic!
The outside of the leggings is soft, just like you would expect a mixture of spandex and polyester to be. The inside–wammo!–fleece. But not like I’m wearing a sheep. It’s just the right amount of fleece to keep you comfy-cozy.
These things are da bomb! Man, they are sooooo soft. I’m 5’7″ and (down to) 170 lbs. I have a high waist (also known as a long bottom), and I normally have issues getting leggings to actually come up to my waist, which is a pain in my long bottom. But these, like my legs, go all the way up. The first thing I checked out was the waistband. It is NOT restrictive, which is a major plus. It is a soft waistband, but it is elastic-y also.
The sizing chart for the XL, which is what I ordered, says for heights 5’4″ to 5’10″ and for weights of 150 lbs – 230 lbs. They would definitely fit you if you are 5’10″ and 150 lbs, but I’m not sure how the fit would be for a 5’4″, 230 lbs woman. There is a good bit of stretch, and everyone’s body is so different, so I honestly can not say. But they fit me perfectly. They are the most comfortable pair of leggings I’ve ever owned. And, being a skirt-only wearer, I’ve owned a lot of leggings.
These fleece-lined leggings are very high quality, and I just can not get over how soft they are. Truly a fantastic product, and they are well worth the $28. (Through Dec 2, 2013, the fleece-lined leggings are 15% off.) They are available in black, gray, or brown.
Personally, I prefer to “shop small business.” Caroline is the owner of Deborah and Co., and she is a homeschooling mom with five children. This business helps her to remain a work-at-home, homeschooling mom. I have worked closely with her on several other projects, and I am so happy to say that she is gen-u-ine. She really is as nice as she seems, lol. They are a great family to support. She blogs at themodestmomblog.com and keeps her clothing store separate at DeborahAndCo.com. Go check her out, and maybe you will find something that you want to check out in the process.
